Tutton & Young's MADE London 2023

It's been a week since Tutton & Young's MADE London in Angel and, boy, what a busy couple of weeks it's been.

I was a late addition to the line up and was not expecting my application to the successful – thanks imposter syndrome – but they said yes and it was systems go, go, go. There was a stand to plan, new business cards and a brand brochure to create and have print and painting myself a bespoke sign, plus getting all the artworks checked and ready.

Set up was over 2 days and went really well. I'd decided to cover my stand with a cotton fabric as the cubicles standard dark grey felt background wasn't going to work for me. Despite it taking a really long time to get up and stretched properly it was the right choice and really made my stand and the artworks pop. You can see a little video of my set-up on Instagram here

Thursday night was the opening of the show with lots of VIP guests coming along to the private view. I thoroughly enjoyed showcasing my new collection, talking about the commissions process and about people's collections of precious keepsakes.

This joy continued for the next 3 days and I was thrilled that two of my artworks found their forever homes. The A Slice in Time Triptych (below) and Composition in Green are now part of two lovely ladies' art collections. Plus All You Need is Love from my Mini Museum Collection flew off to its new home in Germany shortly after the show finished.

Thank you to those of you who stopped by to say hi and see the new collection, and I was thrilled to finally meet the lovely Patricia van den Akker from The Design Trust, in the flesh.

I had the most wonderful experience at MADE meeting so many lovely people and fellow makers and artists. Hopefully they will have me back next year.

Did you come along to the show? I would love to know what you thought of my new collection in the comments below.
